Van Gogh sets a high standard with a rating of 108 and this race should be within his grasp. Early last month he ran a fine second in the Group 3 Tyros Stakes when narrowly losing out to Military Style, and he returned to that level of form when finishing a decent second to Cadillac in a Group 2 at Leopardstown two weeks ago. In between those runs he wasn’t at his best in the Futurity Stakes, but that effort came on dire ground and is easily forgiven.
