A DAY after his uncle, Willie, won the English equivalent, Emmet Mullins pulled off his biggest win to date on the flat as Cape Gentleman rewarded the considerable patience of his connections in the Paddy Power Irish Cesarewitch.

A year ago this former French-based four-year-old was picked up for €80,000 but the Margaret O’Rourke-owned gelding had to wait until last month’s Listowel Festival to make his Irish debut.
