Horse Sport Ireland yesterday announced the Gain U16 (Pony) Eventing Squad that will compete at this year’s FEI European Championships, taking place in Strzegom in Poland from August 15th to 18th 2019.

The squad in alphabetical order is as follows:

Kildare’s Alex Connors – Millridge Buachaill Bui or Knockbordan Revelation

Carlow’s Tiggy Hancock – Coppenagh Spring Sparrow or Corries Whiskey

Laois’ Brian Kuehnle – Tullibards Sixth Sense AC

Tipperary’s Susan Shanahan – Fernhill Mix and Match

Tipperary’s Olivia Swan – Rockon Pedro

Laois’ Grace Tyrrell – Fiona’s Fionn

Reserves in alphabetical order:

Tipperary’s Brian Bourke – Cillbhrid Pippa

Meath’s Lucy Glynn – Bramblebrough Eoghan

Meath’s Holly Love – Cloughreagh Charlie

Speaking after the squad announcement, Becky Cullen, Horse Sport Ireland pony eventing team manager said: “I am delighted with my squad for Strzegom, I think that we have some really exciting talent in the squad this year. I really appreciate all of the hard work and effort put in by everybody involved in the Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Programme this year.
