THE Connemara Pony Breeders Society are organising a training course for those interested in being considered for the in-hand judges list. Applicants must be a member of the CPBS, be aged over 25 and must be resident in Ireland. The closing date for receipt of applications is June 29th next. Application forms can be downloaded from www.cpbs.ie.

Horse Sport Ireland is sponsoring the four-year-old Performance Mare Championship featuring a prize fund of €3,000. Qualifiers will take place in Creagh Equestrian Centre, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, on Saturday, July 9th at 2.30pm and at the Midlands Connemara Show in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath on Sunday, July 31st.
