THE recent Addington Young Horse Festival in Britain attracted mammoth entries from far and wide and Ireland’s Anthony Condon clinched two of the most coveted titles when Zira II and D Hollinwoods Rusty Ryan headed their respective non-British bred five-year-old, and the British bred six-year-old finals.

With high class fields coming forward in all the preliminary rounds, the championships themselves were understandably hotly-contested, and Condon had to pull out all the stops to bring Zira II home ahead in the five-year-old final.
