THE ongoing issues between the national executive of Showjumping Ireland (SJI) and the Connaught Region of the association is a real shame for every show jumping fan in Ireland.

As reported in last week’s paper, the current fall-out seems to date back to an issue which arose at a pony committee meeting a number of months ago but, speaking to SJI members out and about, it seems the problem runs deeper and is reportedly brewing in other regions too.
