THURSDAY (May 31st) marked an important deadline – one which probably went unnoticed by a majority of people in the €816 million Irish sport horse industry. It was the official deadline for expressions of interest to be submitted for the future chairperson role of Horse Sport Ireland.

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed, in consultation with the Minister of Transport, Shane Ross, invited expressions of interest recently for that role and also for three ordinary board members to take effect from July – in line with the recommendations of the Indecon Report.
