CHELTENHAM Festival Grade 1 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Labaik will be offered for sale at the Goffs UK Aintree Sale on Thursday week, April 6th.

Labaik joined Elliott after gaining a reputation for refusing to come out of stalls in France and England.

After winning two races for Elliott last autumn the grey again became reluctant to race and had failed to race with the rest of the field on three occasions before his surprise success at Cheltenham.

Elliott commented after the race that: “I’ve always known how good Labaik was” and that he is “Our best work horse in the yard, we can't get a horse to work with him at home.” Labaik will be offered as Lot 6 at the Aintree Sale.

Another recent entry is Tom Lacey’s Blackbow. A four-year-old son of Stowaway, Blackbow won his debut point-to-point at Maisemore Park on March 26th and will be offered as Lot16.

Further supplementary entries will be taken over the weekend and catalogues will be available for collection from Aintree Racecourse at the Randox Health Grand National Festival. Horses will be available for inspection on course from 1pm on Wednesday April 5th with the Goffs UK reception located at the owners and trainers entrance. The sale will be held after racing in the winners enclosure and bids will also be taken from O'Sullevans in the owners and trainers marquee this year

23 entries have been accepted for the Aintree Sale so far with replays and P2P.ie comments for most horses online.
