VICTORY in the six and seven-year-old Hankook final went to Richard Kerins. He delivered the winning round aboard Small Change in 35.66 seconds. Owned and bred by Korena Byrne, the seven-year-old gelding is by Pacino out of the Poltarf-sired dam Miss Josie Jump. This is the second good result for the pair at Cavan of late, as they finished third in the 1.35m Grand Prix in July.

Derek McConnell won Friday’s qualifier with the ISH Stud Book league winner Longfield Quinlui, but he finished second in the final with Sorcha Hennessy’s six-year-old Mermus R-sired gelding Dothraki Warlord.
