IRISH show jumper Cameron Hanley has joined Poden Farms, the home of up and coming British international Emily Moffitt (21) who has stables in Worcestershire, England, and Wellington, Florida.

Moffitt has been trained by world number five Ben Maher since 2016, and will continue to be under his tutelage. However, with Maher’s busy competition schedule heading into an Olympic year, Moffitt wanted to add another trainer to the team.

Poden Farms announced the news on their website today (Wednesday). “Poden farms is excited to welcome Cameron Hanley to our team. Cameron, who has had a hugely successful career himself, will be contributing as both a trainer for Emily Moffitt, alongside Ben Maher and as a rider.”

“I am very happy to have Cameron join the team,” Neil Moffitt, owner of Poden Farms, added. “He has exemplary qualities that we have been looking for, not limited to his riding skills, but also his ability to assist in the training of my daughter Emily. We have a vast array of fantastic horses and look forward to what the future holds for all of us.”

Emily Moffitt, who switched to ride for Britain from Team USA in early 2017, was a member of the Aga Khan winning British team at the Dublin Horse Show in August and is aiming towards the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Poden Farms also own the London Knights Global Champions League team, winners of the 2019 league, and Ben Maher's silver medal-winning European Championships mount Explosion W.

“Cameron will work closely with Ben to help Emily continue to achieve her goals for the 2020 season and to develop top Grand Prix horses for Poden Farms. We look forward to this new partnership and the expanding success of Poden Farms,” the press release added.

Their partnership is already paying off with Emily winning last Sunday's two-star Grand Prix in Spain when coached by Hanley.
