NO stranger to this level, Olympian Austin O'Connor takes will be riding the 10-year-old gelding Lucky Contender around his first four-star at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials this weekend.

Speaking today ahead of the event, O'Connor, who has represented at two olympic Games and five European Championships said: “It’s a case of going into the unknown but he deserves to take his chance here and we will find out a bit more.”

The Chacoa-sired gelding has enjoyed excellent results at three-star level this season, including second at Belton and third in Chatsworth.
