The John Deere Gator

IF you already own a John Deere Gator you probably wonder what you ever did without it. The Gator’s versatility is its greatest asset; whether feeding horses across fields with bales and buckets on the back, or out knocking in fencing in an outlying paddock with your tools or hedge cutter onboard.

With the capacity to hold quite a few barrels worth of droppings, the Gator can also be a friend if you’re picking droppings from the paddock as part of your worming regime. The Gator will travel easily across fields without causing too much damage, even in wet conditions.

Gators can be used to level out a sand arena or menage easily with the appropriate attachments. With the ability to tow a chain harrow, a gator can also become a central tool in keeping on top of your seasonal grassland management.

The MicroBull

THIS sturdy piece of equipment is a game-changer for yard owners and can certainly reduce time and labour costs. This compact piece of machinery can lift up to 200kg, which amounts to a 4x4 round bale of straw. It is also well capable of carrying small square bales of hay, shavings bales, bags of feed and haylage. One downside horse owners may want to consider is that it is not capable of lifting a 4x4 round bale of hay or haylage.

The MicroBull is master of mucking out. It is small and agile enough to be driven in and out of stables to take out dirty bedding and is ideal for stud farms completely stripping stables out after foaling. It can also be used for pushing back the muckheap. The MircoBull can be paired with a number of attachements including a forklift and a hedge cutter.
