A GLUT of high class racing on Saturday saw Harry Bentley travelling on from Goodwood to Windsor and he made the journey pay with victory on David Simcock’s Desert Encounter in the Listed August Stakes.

Desert Encounter, third in last year’s Eclipse, had competed at the highest level of late and proved too good for 6/4 favourite Game Starter under a patient ride.
