WINNING big handicap sprints is far from easy but north Yorkshire handler Paul Midgley seemed to find it quite straightforward at Musselburgh on Saturday, winning not only the William Hill Scottish Sprint Cup with Line Of Reason but also the consolation race, the William Hill Tartan Trophy, with Orient Class.

Musselburgh is not the widest of tracks and there can be scrimmaging, especially over five furlongs. However, Joe Fanning took his time on the outside on Line Of Reason, 11/1, coming through to deny Harry Hurricane by a neck with Kimberella and Caspian Prince right behind.
