Gitane Du Berlais: The Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old maintained her unbeaten record over fences with an eight-length score in the Grade 1 Betfred TV Scilly Isles Novices' Chase over two miles, four and a half furlongs at Sandown on Saturday.

A Grade 3 and Listed scorer over hurdles, she was bred by the partnership of Jean-Marc Lucas, Louise Collet and Camille Collet. She is out of Boheme Du Berlais (by Simon Du Desert), her siblings include the multiple flat scorer Poeme Du Berlais (by Great Pretender), and her dam is a half-sister to the French Grade 2 placed, Listed hurdles scorer Baraka Du Berlais (by Bonnet Rouge).

Her sire Balko (by Pistolet Bleu) was a Grade 2 winner over hurdles and over fences in France, and he stands at Haras National du Lion d'Angers.

Morning Run: Willie Mullins also struck on Saturday with the six-year-old Morning Run, who is now a dual graded winner following her victory in the Grade 3 Solerina Mares' Novice Hurdle over two and a quarter miles at Fairyhouse.

Bred by Marie Murphy, she is out of Portryan Native (by Be My Native). That makes her a full-sister to the bumper and dual hurdles winner Morning Royalty and a half-sister to Morning Supreme (by Supreme Leader), who won a bumper, a chase, and three times over hurdles, including a Listed event at Limerick.

Morning Run is a daughter of the Group 1 winner and late Ballylinch Stud stallion King's Theatre (by Sadler's Wells) who is leading the race for the 2014/15 National Hunt sires' championship.

Embracing Change: A son of the late Glenview Stud stallion Anshan (by Persian Bold), the Robert Tyner-trained 10-year-old completed a four-timer when taking the Grade C Claim Your Free Trial At racinguk.com Grand National Trial Handicap Chase over three and a half miles at Punchestown on Sunday.

It is his second Grade C success, he was bred by Finbar O'Neill, and he is out of Temple Heather (by Faustus), which makes him a half-brother to a couple of point-to-point winners. His dam comes from the family of the talented performers Wayward King (by Rakaposhi King) and Fourth Of July (by Rymer).

Holy Roman Emperor: Coolmore Stud's classic sire added another pattern winner to his tally when Mongolian Khan won the Group 2 Darci Brahma Waikato Guineas over 10 furlongs at Te Rapa, in New Zealand, on Saturday.

The three-year-old colt was bred by Grenville Stud, he is trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman, and he is out of Centafit (by Centaine). That makes him a half-brother to Young Centaur (by Jeune), who won the Group 1 Wellington Cup over two miles at Trentham seven years ago.

Rule Of Law: Group 1 St Leger hero Rule Of Law (by Kingmambo), who returned from Japan to join the team at Kedrah House Stud in 2012, had a pattern winning sprinter in Japan on Sunday.

Am Ball Bleiben, a six-year-old mare bred by Fujiwara Farm, is trained by Nobuharu Fukushima. She won the Grade 3 Silk Road Stakes over six furlongs at Kyoto, adding to a Grade 3 success over the course and distance in November. Her dam Cherry Koman (by Splendid Moment) was a blacktype winner over 11 and a half furlongs at Chukyo and is also the dam of the blacktype scorer My Masterpiece (by Soccer Boy).
