BRIAN Kavanagh has paid tribute to the resilience and flexibility shown by all sectors of the racing and bloodstock industry during “a crazy, unprecedented racing year” but he also warned that 2021 will again prove a testing time.

In a week which saw a steep rise in Covid-19 infections, a tightening of social and business restrictions, and more Brexit uncertainty, the Horse Racing Ireland chief executive noted that racing has fared better than many other sectors in staying open this year.
