THE 2015 renewal of the Tattersalls July Sale was set to post the third-best total in its history and an improved set of results compared to last year as it entered the final furlong last night. Trade for breeding stock was especially buoyant, while horses with a high rating and suitable for export commanded a premium price. The top price at the time of writing has only been bettered on five occasions in the last decade.
