WALK In The Sun is unbeaten on both his starts to date in 2018, and this perfect beginning to his racing career must be a huge relief to connections of the three-year-old son of Street Sense (Street Cry). Trained by Jeremy Noseda for Phoenix Thoroughbreds, the colt made his racecourse debut at the end of January on the all-weather at Kempton, beating 13 opponents to land the spoils over seven furlongs in the hands of Ryan Moore.

He followed up this week, again on the all-weather but this time at Lingfield, but it has to be said that starting at 1/12 and facing just three others, he needed to win well. He obliged by seven lengths, though we did not really learn much more about his real ability. There is a long way to go between now and a possible classic engagement at the Curragh, but there is reason for his owners to hope that their major investment will pay off in time.
