KINGMAN not only made headlines at the sales in Doncaster this week, but last weekend he was firing in winners with incredible regularity, especially at stakes level. One of these winners was the two-year-old Joseph O’Brien-trained Alligator Alley, a colt who has Green Desert (Danzig) twice in his third remove.

A grandson of Invincible Spirit (Green Desert) through his sire, Alligator Alley is out of a winning daughter of Cape Cross (Green Desert). He won for the second time when taking the five-furlong Listed J Graves Roses Stakes at York, and he has been in the frame on all five outings, including when runner-up in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood. His future entries include the Group 1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes when he would be asked to step up in trip to six furlongs.
