CROSSING Well Chosen (Sadler’s Wells) with Knockamullen Girl (Alderbrook) has proven to be potent. The Kedrah House Stud stallion is the sire of Carefully Selected, the Joe Lalor-bred winner of the Grade 3 Killiney Novice Chase, thus becoming the fifth graded winner for his well-bred sire. He joins Jury Duty, Chosen Mate, Goulane Chosen and Mallards In Flight.

Knockamullen Girl did not race and she is responsible for three runners and two winners. The other is Carefully Selected’s own-brother Midnight Run (Well Chosen), a dual bumper winner who chased home Envoi Allen in a listed bumper at Navan, and has since been successful over hurdles. This is a family that comes up with a good horse in every generation.
