THIS week I paid a visit to Tom Meagher’s Kedrah House Stud, home to Well Chosen, newcomer Berkshire (Mount Nelson) and St Leger winner Rule Of Law (Kingmambo).

The Sadler’s Wells (Northern Dancer) horse Well Chosen is on a roll and his growing list of winners was augmented at the weekend by the Leopardstown bumper scorer Sixshooter, trained by the equally in-form Noel Meade. Sixshooter’s value now bears no relation to the €3,500 he cost as a foal at Tattersalls Ireland when he was bought by Boyne Bloodstock. This a family with which Meade is well acquainted.
