EPAULETTE has not shuttled this year and remains in Australia where he stands for Darley at Kelvinside in New South Wales. The son of Commands (Danehill) is represented in 2019 by his third European crop and they made the best possible start when his son Red Epaulette won the opening two-year-old race of the season at Naas.

It is fair to say that the performances of the first northern hemisphere crops by the dual Group 1 winner have not matched those born down under. In Europe he has yet to sire a stakes winner, though five of his sons and daughters have been stakes-placed in Ireland (McMunigal), England (Sankari Royale), France (Omaha Beach) and Italy (Lapulced’acqua and Field Of Roses).
