MULLINS father and son team, Willie and Paddy, combined at Navan last week to win the bumper with some ease with the French-bred Avenir D’Une Vie. The five-year-old son of Lavirco is the first winner for his dam, the Robin Des Champs mare Par Bonheur.

Avenir D’Une Vie was having his second start and more than made up for any disappointment felt after his Punchestown debut. His delay in getting to the track was due to injury last year but it is obvious that his trainer holds the Gigginstown House Stud runner in high regard.
