LAST year was a momentous one at the fledgling Archway Stud in Co Tipperary. Karl Bowen’s farm is home to La Cuvee (Mark Of Esteem), the dam of Champers Elysees (Elzaam), and to that Group 1 winner’s own-sister Daddies Girl.

As the 2020 racing season began, Champers Elysees was a winner at two, runner-up in the Birdcatcher Nursery at Naas, but she had no blacktype to her name. Fast-forward to the end of July and, having won on her seasonal bow, she got her first stakes win in the Listed Corrib Stakes at Galway.
