VICTORY for Hello Youmzain in the Group 1 Betfair Sprint Cup was, amazingly, just the fourth top-level winner for his sire Kodiac (Danehill). I say amazingly as the Tally-Ho stallion has been plying his trade for some time now and he is one of the hottest sire properties around.

The three-year-old Hello Youmzain is from his ninth crop of racing age, but it is fair to say that Kodiac has made his name and reputation the hard way. A winner of four races over six and seven furlongs in England and the UAE, Kodiac’s only piece of blacktype in a 20-race career was gained when he ran second to Fayr Jag in the Group 3 Hackwood Stakes at Newbury.
