THERE is nothing more exciting, or heart-warming, in the run up to a sale than to get a major pedigree update. One such occurrence happened last week for John Dwan of Ballyreddin Stud, just ahead of the Tattersalls Ireland September Sale which is being held at Park Paddocks in Newmarket.

In the coming days he will offer for sale, through his brother’s Kellsgrange Stud, a yearling filly by Sioux Nation (Scat Daddy) out of the winning Invincible Spirit (Green Desert) mare School Run. The filly is just the third offspring of her dam, and she looks certain to be among the standout lots at this week’s sale. After all, she ticks every box when it comes to buying both racing and breeding potential.
