WHILE I was in Listowel on Wednesday to witness Snow Falcon hanging on to record a well-deserved victory in the Guinness Kerry National, the eight-year-old was cheered home with great enthusiasm back in The Irish Field offices where Katie Gorman is a member of the editorial team.

Her particular interest in the winner is the fact that the son of Presenting (Mtoto) was bred by her father Sean and sold by him through his Cleaboy Stud and Coppice Farm entity as a foal for €42,000 to Caucestown House. The gelding was reoffered and sold as a three-year-old for a handsome profit at the Goffs Land Rover Sale to Mags O’Toole, the agent signing for him at €80,000.
