FOREVER Free (Exceed And Excel) closed out her unbeaten two-year-old season with an impressive win in Saturday’s Listed Queen Adelaide Stakes over an extended five furlongs at Morphettville. She was following up wins at Ballarat and Caulfield at her previous two starts before tackling her first stakes assignment. Forever Free is owned and was bred by David Moodie’s Hesket Bloodstock.

The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained two-year-old was sent off as favourite and will now be given a break before returning for a stakes campaign as a spring three-year-old. The win came before the mare Shrouded In Mist gave the Darley stallion Exceed And Excel (Danehill) a stakes double on the card with victory in the Group 2 Queen Of The South Stakes, beating the Group 1 winner Seabrook.
