IT is likely that Rockemperor, a five-year-old son of Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill), is only a start or two away from becoming a racing millionaire. His four wins to date, two each in France and the USA, have so far yielded earnings of almost $915,000.

This is quite a tally for a horse who cost a disappointing €12,000 at the Arqana Breeze Up Sale, a lot less than his yearling sale price nine months earlier at Deauville of €50,000.
