Breeder Mary Davison passes away

Mary was the joint breeder of Ivawood and she was also a respected equestrian photographer

BREEDER and photographer Mary Davison will be laid to rest today (Saturday) after passing away unexpectedly on Tuesday. From Leixlip in Co Kildare, Mary bred many winners and was the joint-breeder of Ivawood, a Group 2 winner, placed in two classics and a stallion.

The Davison family is well-known in racing and breeding. Mary’s brother John and his wife Paula own Killarkin Stud in Dunboyne. Their son Jack is a successful trainer.

Mary is also survived by her sister Elizabeth. Her funeral service takes place at 1pm at St Peter’s Church of Ireland in Dunboyne, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
