THE story of Tour To Paris, a son of Fuisse (Green Tune) and the dual juvenile winner Theoricienne (Kendor), is truly a rags to riches tale. This €3,000 yearling at the Arqana Autumn Sale was sent to race in Hungary where he was the best of his generation at two and three over sprint distances. He was then sent to France and last weekend the now five-year-old took his career to a new level when he won the Group 2 Prix du Gros-Chene at Deauville.

This was his 12th success and last year he won a listed race at Maisons-Laffitte. He and his three-year-old half-sister She’s My Type (Dunkerque), winner of a stakes race in the USA, have made a very big difference in the last year to a pedigree that was really just about average. Their dam, it should be said, is one of five winners from the three-year-old winner Theorie (Anabaa), and the best of that quintet is Blacktype (Dunkerque).
