AMONG the champions ridden by Lesley Webb at Balmoral last week was Sam McAteer’s Randalstown Raffles who won his lightweight cob class en route to taking the title ahead of the heavyweight winner, Robert Morrow’s Morrows Street Wise.

“Richard (Iggulden) and I gave this fellow a light campaign last year and he was third in Dublin,” said Webb of the five-year-old grey gelding. “He is a proper little showman and loves his job. He won the cob championship at the Northern Ireland Festival in Cavan.”
