A DOUBLE for Denis Hogan pushed him into double figures for the season and his brace was completed by Generator City who returned from two months off to post a career-best effort in the Investec Wealth Rated Novice Hurdle.
The market leaders Soldier At War (distressed post race) and Castle North (reported never to have travelled) struggled to make their presence felt in this two-and-three-quarter-mile event and it was left to Summerhill and the Philip Enright-ridden Generator City to do battle in the closing stages. The Premier Racing Club-owned gelding got on top after the last to score by two and three-quarter lengths.
