BRITISH international Olivia Wilmot made her first visit to Ballindenisk as a pony rider 19 years ago, and having returned a further six times, racked up her third victory at the venue in the CIC2*. Riding the Portuguese-bred Zebedee de Foja, Wilmot posted the only front-running win (44.1) of the weekend, to head Tom McEwan (CHF Cooliser) and Australia’s Ben Leahy with Feloupe.

“I think I have experienced all Ballindenisk weathers, but nothing quite as bad as this,” said Wilmot afterwards. “My horse can be a bit of a princess, so in the going I felt he tried really hard. The show jumping was quite a test for us both, because the wind blew down three fences, and suddenly I couldn’t see where I was going!”
