ALTHOUGH a national competition, the Michael Leonard EI110 championship for five- and six-year-old horses at Ballindenisk carries a lot of prestige and last weekend it was won by the Clare Abbott-owned and -ridden Mr Mighty.

The bay, who won twice in 2019 (at EI90 and EI100 level), had finished third last time out at Knockany, in the new Horse Sport Ireland autumn development EI110 series for six-year-olds, and stepped up smartly here as he completed on his winning dressage score (25.7 penalties).
