SYDNEY’S spring carnival roared into gear with four Group races, kicked off by Redzel who reaffirmed his credentials for the A$13 million Everest with a length victory for Peter and Paul Snowden in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes over 1,000 metres.

“He is going as well as he was this time last year when he won the Concorde,” said Paul Snowden of the six-year-old Snitzel gelding. “They always have to come back and do it and I’m mindful we’ve got six weeks until the Everest. It’s very satisfying knowing what we have got in front of us.”
