Retired to stud

IN the wake of Saturday’s Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Criterion and Mongolian Khan have been retired to stud. The Sebring horse Criterion, a four-time Group 1 winner will stand at Newgate Farm in the Hunter Valley whilst a stud deal is yet to be completed for the Holy Roman Emperor horse Mongolian Khan.A dual New Zealand and Australian Derby winner who won last year’s Caulfield Cup, Mongolian Khan will stand in New Zealand. Darley three-year-old Exosphere has also been retired to stand in the Hunter Valley. The Lonhro colt retires after ten starts, a winner of the Group 1 Golden Rose.
