GODOLPHIN’S spending spree took in a number of other sale highlights this week. Ballylinch Stud sold the second offspring of Group 3 winner Mayhem for €800,000 to Sheikh Mohammed’s operation.

This daughter of Dark Angel did not quite match the €900,000 Godolphin spent in the same ring last year for Donnybrook, the unraced two-year-old daughter of Invincible Spirit out of the Whipper mare. Mayhem is a full-sister to the Group 2 winner and Group 1 Hong Kong Mile runner-up Royal Bench.
