THE third edition of the Arqana v.2 Yearling Sale failed to match the excellent returns of a year ago, though it did have four yearlings sell for more than the top price of 12 months previously. The median also rose by €2,000 to €30,000. The clearance rate was down from 91% to just 75% this time.

Two sons of Kendargent were among the top five lots and included the session’s best when Alan Decrion gave €150,000 for the first produce of the stakes-placed Ideechic, from the family of this year’s Jersey Stakes winner Dutch Connection.
