There was plenty of quality winners at the annual South East Clare Show where the All Ireland Yearling Filly Championship went to Rebecca Monahan's Lancelot filly

THE 28th Annual South East Clare Show was a blazing success as the sun shone on a competitive field of young horses in the RDS-like showing ring. A start of 10.30am sharp saw the judging of yearling colt/gelding of the show go to Dunmanway-based Emily Jane Crowley and her bay colt by Womanizer.

Young Champion Horse ribbons went to Brian Daly and his three-year-old chesnut gelding by Newmarket Venture. Edel Curtin, Kilmihil, Co. Clare, and her two-year-old bay colt by Corgrigg Blaze took reserve Young Horse Champion. The Pat Hayes Perpetual Cup was presented to Daly by judge Pat Fleming on the day.
