THE novice individual class started the day at Killossery Lodge Stud, Swords, Co Dublin, last weekend where victory in the novice section went to The Teresian School team from Dublin.

Taking an early lead, clear in 37.57 seconds was Spirit, ridden by Hallie Crowe, representing Dunshaughlin Community College. The next to try to beat her time, also from Dunshaughlin Community, was Kyra Synnott on Mylo and although clear, her time of 41.89 slotted her into third place. Klara Ewings, a student from St. Vincents, Dundalk, was the closest to the leader, taking second place riding Major Ben in a time of 41.24. Sophie Roden, who is a student in The Teresian School, took fourth place riding Churchmountain Primrose, going clear in a time of 48.80. Fifth place was also filled by Dunshaughlin Community with Laura Reynolds and Smokey in a time of 51.74.
