COMPETITORS and supports alike turned out in force to support the Wicklow Branch of The Irish Draught Horse Breeders Association who held their annual show in Spruce Lodge on June bank holiday Monday, by kind permission of the Keogh family.

A wet afternoon didn’t dampen spirits and a strong crowd watched on to see who would be crowned Supreme Champion. Sponsored by Grangefort Equestrian Enterprises, the honours went to the Irish Draught Ridden Champion The Peaky Blinder who had earlier in the day won The Best Riding Cob class which was open to both Irish Draughts and Traditional Irish Horses.
