EIGHT ponies qualified from the RDS Connemara performance hunter qualifier held at Scarteen on Thursday but not the winners of both eight to 15-year-old sections as they had already done so at Tullylish.

In Section A, victory went to the 15-year-old Ballinavilla Prince gelding Sea Storm (240) who was ridden by Talitha Diamond for her family’s Diamond’s Equine Renvyle. The grey was bred in Connemara by Joseph Mannion out of Little Nora (by Windy’s Boy). Here, Niamh Ruane finished second to qualify on her own Irish Cousin (225.5), while also heading to Lambertstown next month will be Shona Lynch with her mother Adrienne Daly’s Castleside Tara Pepper (223.5).
