TWO successful shows were staged in Co Wexford recently with a link between them being Gowran-based Brian Murphy who was one of the organisers of the Glandoran Island Show on Sunday, August 2nd and enjoyed a successful day in the saddle at Wexford Equestrian last Saturday.

Murphy proved virtually unbeatable at the Tomhaggard venue where he won the supreme horse of the show title on his own lightweight hunter class winner Rosnastraw, produced the reserve supreme, and cob class winner, Pat O’Loughlin’s Peaky Blinder and, for good measure, landed the working hunter title on Sean Barker’s Irish Draught stallion, Gortfree Lakeside Lad.
