THE fledgling Irish Country Polo (ICP) opened the season at Bunclody Polo Club and there is much more in store this summer than the usual tournament rounds.

The new Irish polo organisation, involving polo clubs at Bishopsland in Kildare, Bunclody in Wexford and players from Curraghmore in Waterford, was formed with the mission of ‘friendship, respect and transparency on and off the field’ following factors including increased insurance cover as set out by the London-based parent HPA (Hurlingham Polo Association). The ICA’s primary purpose is to create a supportive and encouraging pathway for players and umpires.
