CRAUGHWELL-based Hollypark Horses won the younger performance Irish Draught class at the 2019 Dublin Horse Show with Hollypark Prince (who went on to be reserve champion) and took the first step to repeating that next month at Lambertstown when winning Section A of the four and five-year-old qualifier at Rincoola on Thursday.

Ridden by Patrick Moloney, Hollypark Troy completed on 231.5 points ahead of Mary Margaret Roche’s home-bred four-year-old Lansdown mare, Assagart Hope And Glory (231), who qualified in second under Diarmuid Ryan. The winner, who comes from the first crop of the Grosvenor Lad stallion Carrigfada Troy, was bred in Co Westmeath by Kay Blackwell out of Ivy A Do (by Star Kingdom).
