CAVAN Equestrian played host and sponsor to the 1.35m SJI Autumn Grand Prix last weekend at which victory went to Co Meath’s John Floody riding the Dutch-bred Donevan Erkindale. The 11-year-old is owned by Kevin and Geralyn Thompson.

Speaking after the win, Floody said: “I’m delighted with him. He is a lovely horse and he has got very competitive recently. I’ve been riding him now for about three years. When he first arrived he was almost too careful, he jumped too high and spent too long in the air but with a lot of work, he’s become a lot more sensible now.
