One Master led home Dan’s Dream to make it a British-trained 1-2 in the Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary on Thursday evening.

Winner of the Fred Darling Stakes earlier in the season, the Mick Channon-trained Dan’s Dream looked to have made a race-winning move over a furlong out, but One Master (9/2) proved a tough nut to crack.

In the end, half a length was the margin of victory for William Haggas’ four-year-old, who had been knocking on the door at this Group 3 level, finishing fourth at Glorious Goodwood and third on her visit to the Curragh in June.

She was ridden by Colm O’Donoghue, who said: “I spoke to James Doyle and Ryan Moore and they were very complimentary of the filly. They said to ride her cold as she’d finish off the race good and ground and trip wasn’t a problem. She hit the line strong.”

The card also included a 15-runner five-furlong listed race which went to the Ger Lyons-trained Blue Uluru (9/1), who edged out Hit The Bid (8/1) in a tight finish. The 9/4 favourite Different League took third.

Lyons and stable jockey Colin Keane had a treble on the evening, their other winners being Gold Jasmine (11/10) in the claimer and Tennessee Wildcat (7/1) in the nine-furlong conditions race.
