LAST Saturday proved to be a busy day for Warrington Equestrian as it hosted the final round of its Autumn showjumping league. With a range of classes for horses and ponies, jumping went on until late in the evening.
In the pony arena, classes were hard fought in each division. In the Newcomers 60cms, the league was divided between Ella Mullins (Riversdale Buzz) and Aisling Malone (Damerstown Beauty). In the newcomers 70cms, it was Hannah Pagan (DJ) who took the title.
Taking the win in the 128 70cms was Iseult Fleming (The Woo). Resident rider Alice Moloney put in a great effort and took second place with McKay and third with Patches IV. Along with the placings, Alice Moloney was also crowned league winner with McKay.
In the 128 80cms, local rider Isobel Sheehan (Ardfry Chiswick) emerged the winner. Claiming second place was Robyn McOwan (Cocky Rocky), ahead of Sallyanne Geoghegan (Paulank Chaffinch). Alice Moloney stepped up to take another title for her performance over the course of the league with Is Fearr An Star.
Winner of the 128 90cms was Marta Hughes-Bravo with Milfield Duke. Sheehan accounted for the next two placing when she partnered Flash Dance into second and Ardfry Chiswick into third. A sixth place finish for Alexandra Hourigan (Little Rock Hopscotch) was enough for her to take the league title. Later in the day and riding Twin Cam, Hourigan went on to take the honours in the final leg of the 128 1m final and with it took the title. Taking the runner-up spot in the round were Abbie Oakey and Gateau Sonic, ahead of Roisin Burns and Monserrat Seamist.
Leading the victory lap and taking the league title in the 138 80cms was Sallyanne Geoghegan aboard BBB Scarlettlily. Claiming the runner-up spot were Isobel O’Callaghan and Fernandez George.
Victory in the 138 90cms went to Vivien Leslie (Dawn Dusty), ahead of the eventual league winners Heather Byrne (Cuffesgrange Boomerang). Slotting into third place were Eoin Brennan and Evros Delight.
Following a great performance in the 138 1m, Isobel Hughes-Kennedy and Coppenagh Celtic Rebel took the win in the final round and with it the league title. Taking second place was Aoife Drea (Brock Bee Line) ahead of Eoin Brennan (Evros Delight). Isobel also repeated this performance when taking the final round and the league of the 138 1.10m with Coppenagh Celtic Rebel.
Aoife Drea slotted into second with Brock Bee Line but added to her results when taking third with Miss Little Captain.
In the 148 80cms, it was Ted Donohue (George) who took the win and the title ahead of Kate O´Neill (Disco Stu).
A win in the final leg of the 148 90cms ensured Tess Staunton and Full Of Promise the title win. Eoin Brennan was back to claim another spot as he partnered GCS Rambo into second, ahead of Orla Walsh and Blackilty.
In the 148 1m, David Fleming and Rosies Bay took the final round, ahead of Kilian Murphy and Annefield’s Hector. Lillian Murphy accounted for the next two placings as he partnered Cullintra Bonfire into third and Banagher De Bregeon into fourth. There were joint league winners in this section: Orla Walsh (Blackilty) and Claire Forde (KBL Milkyway).
In the 148 1.10m, David Fleming (Rosies Bay) took the final leg ahead of Tom O’Shea (Tynan Cappucino). Taking third was Conor Campion (Coppenagh Vogue). Claiming fourth place and with it the league was Isabella Boyd (Melview Surprise).
Winner of the 148 1.20m final round and league title was Conor Campion (Coppenagh Vogue). Kilian Murphy also featured in this final when taking second with Killone Leo.
LEAGUE WIN
In the 80cms division, Luke Murphy (Willowbrook Rockstar) and Linda Maher (Could Be Lucky) shared the title. In the 90cms, a win for Olivia Byrne (Georgie Bee) secured her the league. Winner of the 1m was Sasha Reardon and Zenas Diamond while the league winner was Ciara Walsh and Innocent Voltaire.
Winner of the 1.10m division and the league was Ciaran Byrne (Golden Puissance), ahead of Paddy O’Donnell (Ivowen). Third place belonged to Marie Moloney riding her own Blesco Flight.
Eddie Moloney proved to be a popular winner in the 1.20m with Tonagh Trip The Lights. In second place and securing the league was Kayleigh Soden, riding Karima Flight.
Moloney returned to take the win in the 1.30m with Jessy Van De Heide and second place with Finnisk Beowulf.
Soden’s performance over the course of the league with Karima Flight saw her add another title to her tally.
