2.40 Moyglare Stud Stakes (Group 1) 7f

Beautify: Finished in front of Composing on debut, before winning Group 2 over six fulongs here latest;. Bred to appreciate this additional furlong, but will need to take a further step forward to trouble the principals in what looks an above-average renewal.

Composing: Promising fifth on introduction before landing her next three starts. Has the beating of the majority of these on various different form lines. Already proven her stamina for this step and looks the best of the home brigade.

Pivotal Attack: Followed up an eye-catching debut over six furlongs when winning over an extra furlong at the Galway Festival on second start. Will need to improve again to feature in this grade, but is lightly raced so shouldn’t be discounted.

Precise: Runner-up on her debut at Fairyhouse, before subsequently winning her next start at Cork. Improved on those performances when successful in Group 3 company at Goodwood last month; remains open to more improvement, but will need a career best here.

Skydance: A maiden after four starts. Has finished behind a trio of these rivals in recent outings. Looks up against it in this exalted grade.

Suzie Songs: Won her first two starts before being readily outpointed by Composing over course and distance last time. Looks up against it for win purposes, but could reach the frame if stamina holds out.

Venetian Sun: Unbeaten in all four starts to date. Followed up Royal Ascot win with Group 2 success at Newmarket. Career best when beating the colts in Group 1 Prix Morny last month. Has to prove her stamina for seven furlongs, but the most likely winner if getting the trip.

Conclusion:

The unbeaten Venetian Sun needs to prove her stamina at this distance, but is difficult to get away from. Composing, who has no issues with the trip, rates a serious threat. Although needing to improve again to make her presence felt, Precise looks best of the remainder.
